Based in Calabria, Italy, the Amarelli family has built a legacy around traditional methods that highlight the true essence of licorice root. #### **A Tradition of Excellence** The Amarelli story dates back to 1731, when the family began refining Glycyrrhiza glabra, the licorice plant that thrives in Calabria’s rich soil. Unlike common licorice confections, Amarelli licorice is crafted using time-tested techniques that preserve its deep, intense character. Each piece delivers a bold, slightly bittersweet taste with a refined texture that licorice purists appreciate. Whether in the form of classic pastilles, soft sticks, or sugar-coated varieties, Amarelli remains a benchmark for authentic licorice. #### **What Makes Amarelli Licorice Unique?** ✔ Heritage Craftsmanship – Nearly three centuries of expertise in licorice-making. ✔ Rich, Bold Flavor – Deeply aromatic with a balanced bittersweet profile. ✔ Sourced from Calabria – Made using licorice root grown in its ideal environment. #### **Find Amarelli at GFM Wholesale** Retailers and foodservice professionals looking to offer authentic Calabrian licorice can source Amarelli through GFM Wholesale.
